Teachings on Jesus

Jesus uses Peter to Heal: Acts 9:32-43 (Sunday 7/18/21)

Video (Watch) Audio (Listen) In the last part of Acts 9 Peter journeys to Lydda, but when a woman of faith and charitable works Tabitha (also called Dorcas) died in nearby Joppa, the saints sent for Peter. Peter went up to the room where Dorcas laid, sent the weepers out of the room, knelt down to pray and said Tabitha arise. We bring the dead to life through Christ when we share the gospel. Just like peter we need to…

“Jesus, the True Lover” – Ephesians 5:20-33 (Tuesday 4/6/21)

In Ephesians 5:20-33, submission to each other, submission in the marriage and submission to Christ is outlined. In Verse 20 of Ephesians 5 we are told to give thanks always in all things. This is not easy, but we can do all things through Christ. In verse 21 we are told to submit to one another. Submission is a military term to submit to one in authority. This means that we all have authority in Christ. In Verse 21, wives…

“Who is Jesus?” – John 10:30 (Sunday 3/14/21)

Who is Jesus?  First we see that He is God.  In John10:30 it says “I and My Father are one.” Also in Philippians 2:5-6 it says Jesus was equal with God.  In John 1:1 and John 1:14, it is clear that Jesus is the Word and the Word was God.  Then we see that He has all power in Acts 10:38 it says “God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good…

God is sending us into the world as ambassadors for Christ [2 Cor 5:20]. (Ambassadors means resident representative of a sovereign (king) appointed for a temporary, special assignment.) He is pleading through us to a dark, lost world. Go into all the world and preach the gospel [Mark16:15]. Looking back on 2020, with the pandemic–sickness, death, family gatherings cancelled or reduced, socially distanced at church–the divisions have been terrible. As ambassadors of the world, are you reflecting the Light, sharing…

“Stay In The Race And Keep Running” – Hebrews 12 (Tuesday 12/12/20)

WARNING! WARNING! This chapter is a warning to us, do not become tired, worn or bitter. Keep pressing on, an athlete does not spend a lifetime training for their big race only to give up and stop running just short of the finish line. So it is in our lives, we cannot leave Jesus and try to return to life without Him. If we try to we find there is nothing there for us.

“Jesus and the Temple” – Hebrews 9 (Tuesday 11/17/20)

Hebrews chapter 9 explains that Jesus is represented by symbolism in the temple. First there is the acacia wood which represents humanity. The wood is wrapped in gold which represents deity of Christ. The showbread represents that Jesus is the bread of life. The candle represents that Jesus is the light of the world and there are seven candles because Jesus is perfect. The incense burner represents the prayers of the saints and Jesus offers up intercession for the saints,…
