“Theology” – Jude 1:3 (Tuesday 7/13/21)

Pastor Jim introduces the idea of the “Five Solas”. ‘Sola’ is Latin for ‘alone’. These are doctrines introduced by Martin Luther during the Reformation. The five solas are grace, faith, Christ, scripture and God’s glory: grace, meaning salvation is through the grace of God alone; faith, meaning we are justified by faith alone, not works; Christ, meaning we access salvation through the righteous acts of Christ alone; scripture, meaning the Bible alone is a believer’s ultimate authority; and the glory of God, meaning that God alone is sovereign over every aspect of a believer’s life.
