“Jesus, the True Lover” – Ephesians 5:20-33 (Tuesday 4/6/21)

In Ephesians 5:20-33, submission to each other, submission in the marriage and submission to Christ is outlined. In Verse 20 of Ephesians 5 we are told to give thanks always in all things. This is not easy, but we can do all things through Christ. In verse 21 we are told to submit to one another. Submission is a military term to submit to one in authority. This means that we all have authority in Christ. In Verse 21, wives are told to submit to their husbands, just like we submit to the authority of Christ out of respect for Him. Husbands are not told to make their wives submit, but to love and lead them (verse 25). Marriage is a beautiful picture of Christ and the church.

Thank you for posting the Bible studies online. It is great to be able to study and listen to these anytime. I love being able to stop the recording when I hear something that has a special meaning to me so that I can take notes and then continue.

That’s wonderful! We’re so glad you’re finding them useful. We have both the YouTube videos and Soundcloud audio recordings available for your convenience – the Soundcloud recordings are sometimes better if you’re on the go and would like to listen. Isaiah 55:11 – “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”
