God is sending us into the world as ambassadors for Christ [2 Cor 5:20]. (Ambassadors means resident representative of a sovereign (king) appointed for a temporary, special assignment.) He is pleading through us to a dark, lost world. Go into all the world and preach the gospel [Mark16:15]. Looking back on 2020, with the pandemic–sickness, death, family gatherings cancelled or reduced, socially distanced at church–the divisions have been terrible. As ambassadors of the world, are you reflecting the Light, sharing the gospel, bringing dead to life through Jesus, speaking the truth without fear of being disliked. We have to speak the truth as we represent our King. When we speak God’s word if the world hates you because you are not in the world, that is good news. If people are not uncomfortable around you, are you shrinking back or telling the truth? Christians speak with humility, know the truth. Remain separate from the world, not enamored and captured by the world. Read God’s Word; pray for wisdom [1 John 2:15-17]. Commit to study God’s world daily. Speak God truth against the wisdom of the world.
